The Technical Regional Sales Representative develops new business and sales qualified leads in their assigned region. They work with distribution partners, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and targeted industries to provide technical consulting and sales services for our products. This may include identifying and communicating modifications and customer design inputs to meet customer requirements and specifications. Additionally, they work with the Americas Division Technical Sales and Marketing Managers and National Sales Manager to develop the pursuit strategy for sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manages sale process for technical products in motion control applications
- Identifies products to meet customer requirements and desires
- Coordinates with engineering resources to develop custom solutions
- Provides pre-sales support such as presentations and proposals
- Creates accurate sales quotations for identified solutions for customers
- Performs post sales relationship management with key customer accounts
- Follows up on leads identified from target marketing to specified industries
- Identifies potential new business opportunities and creates qualified sales leads
- Identifies purchasing decision makers and influencers and negotiating price
- Creates strategies and executes on plans to meet sales goals
- Identifies and recommends product or service enhancements
- Coordinates activity with other sales representatives and engineers
- Recommends marketing strategies in assigned region
- Analyzes sales trends and results to improve pursuit strategies
- Participates in setting sales objectives by forecasting
- Identifies and approaches key or strategic partners
- Maintains professional sales and technical knowledge
- Other sales duties as assigned such as Targeted Field Sales Engineer for special business development projects

Qualifications:
- Experience in industrial automation and motion control preferred
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Marketing or Business degree a plus
