The Senior Buyer – Electro-Mechanical Products is responsible for the development, planning and execution of procurement strategies for precision electro-mechanical commodities and supports related administrative functions to maintain AS9100 certification. Strong working knowledge of MRP and best purchasing practices are a must.
Essential Functions

· Create purchase orders; maintain accurate, open PO lines to define inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers.
· Mange supplier performance including key performance metrics such as on-time-delivery and quality assurance rating.
· Drive problem solving and corrective action for suppliers with process or execution deficiencies.
· Work with cross-functional teams to support Company needs and provide best solutions.
· Develop, implement and negotiate procurement strategies to provide best total landed cost.
· Maintain inventory levels to meet Company needs while achieving cost management goals.
· Partner with internal customers as needed to expedite purchase requisitions or identify solutions for supply chain disruptions, to include the sourcing of alternative providers as needed.
· Appropriately escalate any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies or contract matters for internal review and remediation.
Required Competencies
· Proven experience driving continuous process improvement and cost savings
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English
· Strong negotiating and organizational skills
· Ability to interpret and manage MRP data to meet company objectives.
· Working knowledge of ERP, blueprint reading, MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics A/X (helpful)
· Knowledge of Quality (AS9100, ISO 9001)
· Knowledge of EDI platforms for Purchasing
· Knowledge of Import Logistics and International Commercial Terms
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.

Required Education and Experience
· BSBA required.
· 5+ years of working in a manufacturing environment, CPM, CPIM preferred
· MRP or ERP experience desired
