Position Summary

The Director of Compliance & Product Lifecycle Management is responsible for ensuring TMG remains compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, customer requirements, testing standards, and industry requirements.


This position also manages the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management process, coordinating Engineering, Operations, Production, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to ensure products are successfully developed, introduced, maintained, improved, and discontinued when appropriate.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Product Responsibility

  • Maintain TMG's compliance with federal, state, local, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain current testing requirements for all manufacturing and decorating processes and components.
  • Coordinate required product and component testing, certifications, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and testing reports.
  • Support Sales and Customer Service with testing documentation, certifications, and letters of guarantee.
  • Manage and coordinate external audits, including Social, Missouri DNR, OSHA, customer, and other applicable audits.
  • Track and resolve audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Attend the PPAI Product Responsibility Conference annually and remain current on industry and regulatory changes.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Serve as the project manager for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Production, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service throughout the product development and introduction process.
  • Establish timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and launch requirements.
  • Coordinate prototypes, testing, production trials, approvals, and product documentation.
  • Monitor product performance and coordinate product changes, improvements, and revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance and testing requirements are addressed when products, materials, components, suppliers, or processes change.
  • Coordinate product discontinuation and replacement when appropriate.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the central point of coordination between Compliance and the departments involved in product development and management.
  • Identify risks, delays, and compliance issues and coordinate solutions.
  • Maintain clear communication and accountability across departments.
  • Develop and maintain consistent processes for compliance and product lifecycle management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider commensurate experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in compliance, product responsibility, quality, manufacturing, product development, or project management preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, testing, and customer compliance requirements preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for audits, conferences, and business needs.

The Director of Compliance & Product Lifecycle Management is responsible for ensuring TMG meets its regulatory and customer compliance obligations while successfully managing products from development and introduction through their entire lifecycle.
