Mechanical Welding Superintendent

H&G Systems is hiring an experienced Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial mechanical projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We're looking for a proven piping professional who can lead crews, drive production, maintain high safety and quality standards, and take ownership of field execution from planning through completion.

What You'll Do
- Lead field operations for commercial and industrial mechanical piping projects
- Direct and develop pipefitters, welders, foremen, and other field personnel
- Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and daily work activities to meet project schedules
- Coordinate piping activities with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and field leadership
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, specifications, weld maps, and other project documents
- Oversee piping layout, fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and system completion
- Monitor field productivity, quality, and schedule performance
- Ensure piping installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and H&G quality standards
- Maintain a strong safety culture and hold crews accountable for safe work practices
- Identify field conflicts and constructability issues early and work with project leadership to develop solutions
- Communicate manpower, material, equipment, and scheduling needs to project leadership
- Mentor foremen and craft professionals while helping develop the next generation of field leaders
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of commercial or industrial piping/welding experience
- 5+ years of field leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar position
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical piping systems
- Current 6G Welding Certification
- Strong stick and MIG welding knowledge and proficiency
- Ability to read blueprints, piping drawings, weld maps, and project specifications
- Proven ability to plan manpower, lead crews, and maintain field productivity
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, and piping installation standards
- Ability to coordinate effectively with project management, other trades, and field personnel
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
