With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology.
We are seeking a dependable, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our urology team. The ideal candidate provides high-quality patient care, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, communicates effectively with patients and staff, and works collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients within the provider’s scope of practice.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory results as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.
- Provide ongoing patient follow-up and coordinate care as needed.
- Assist with procedures and other clinical services within the provider’s scope of practice and level of training.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Recognize and appropriately address changes in patient condition and consult with physicians when necessary.
- Participate in clinical coverage and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with practice policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional knowledge and clinical competency through continuing education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted APRN or PA license in the state of Florida.
- Current national board certification appropriate to the provider’s discipline.
- Current DEA registration, as applicable.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
