WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide engaging individual and group tennis instruction to members and their guests.
- Coach junior and adult players across a variety of skill levels.
- Assist with organizing and promoting tennis and other racquet sports programming.
- Support clinics, events, tournaments, and other Racquets activities.
- Help grow participation and enthusiasm for tennis, paddle, and pickleball.
- Create a positive, encouraging environment that makes players excited to return to the court.
- Build strong relationships with members through personalized instruction and exceptional service.
- Partner with the Racquets team to deliver programming that reflects the Cherokee Standard.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience working with adult and junior tennis programs.
- 3+ years of racquet sports teaching experience.
- A competitive tennis or racquet sports playing background preferred.
- College playing experience or approximately a 5.0 playing level preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- USPTA, PTR, or Pickleball certification is a plus.
- Strong verbal communication and teaching skills.
- A positive, energetic, and professional presence on the court.
- Ability to connect comfortably with juniors and adults.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and coach for extended periods and work outdoors throughout the year.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, on-call position, with scheduling based on lessons, programming, member demand, and Club needs.
