Description
The Lease Operator I is responsible for the safe, efficient daily operation of the company’s natural gas system. This entry-level role receives training to perform troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment start-up activities.
Requirements
- Travel to assigned locations to gather, record, and report relevant information, including gauges, fluids, pressures, production, and related operational data, in an accurate and consistent manner.
- Inspect locations for leaks, spills, and potential issues. Notify immediate supervisor promptly of relevant issues or significant production loss.
- Ensure proper reporting of production and downtime.
- Maintain proper production rate throughout the system.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
- Effectively communicate with land owners to maintain a productive relationship.
- Once fully trained, troubleshoot, repair, and correct issues as necessary.
- Record daily production and process all paperwork, inspections, timecards, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Follow all company and regulatory agency rules and regulations.
- Respond timely to unscheduled callouts outside of normal business hours when required.
- Perform all other duties required for which the employee is qualified and trained.
Qualifications
- Oilfield experience is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
- Must be able to perform simple daily tasks with hand tools.
- Must have valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
- Possible exposures to gas/ liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
