HVAC Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager is responsible for the control and management of one or more projects at any given time (multitasking) and is primarily responsible for the safe, timely and profitable completion of those projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a team/s of installers to complete projects as necessary. 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

· The timely and accurate development of project estimates that are both competitive and meet or exceed AMS profit objectives.

· The development and implementation of project plans that result in the completion of AMS projects at or below cost targets while meeting or exceeding goals for safety, completion time and customer satisfaction.

· Identification and selection of sub-contractors.

· Obtain quotes for project materials and equipment.

· Manpower planning, scheduling and training to assure adequate availability of skilled labor to complete major projects within committed time frames.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

· Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

· Constantly ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.

· Occasionally remaining in a stationary position. 

· Constantly standing or sitting for prolonged periods. 

· Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. 

· Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. 

· Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. 

· Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

· Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

· Occasionally low temperatures. 

· Occasionally high temperatures. 

· Occasionally outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. 

· Occasionally hazardous conditions. 

· Occasionally poor ventilation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Occasionally sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. 

· Constantly light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. 

· Occasionally medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. 

· Occasionally heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more

· Occasionally small and/or enclosed spaces.

· Never no adverse environmental conditions expected. 

Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong communication, writing and customer service skills.

· Must be able to work in the field along with the rest of the team.

· Estimating, planning, negotiating and project management skills.  

· Must be able to read blue prints and interpret plans and specifications.  

· Must be knowledgeable in construction codes, labor law, construction law and OSHA requirements.

· 10 years in a construction environment with at least 5 years of supervisory experience, or 

a two or four year technical degree with at least 5 years of experience in construction environment, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

· Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft software and other construction software.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.   

· Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
