Ticket Scanning Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ticket Scanning Supervisor will provide leadership, oversight, and execution for daily ticket scanning at all lifts. This includes verifying that all guests have a valid ticket or pass, have signed a waiver, and confirm guest identity with ticket/pass media before loading the lift. This position is responsible for handling fraudulent use of passes and tickets with professionalism and efficiency including documentation of each incident. The Ticket Scanning Supervisor works closely with the Ticket Office and Lift Operations teams and provides exceptional customer service to Granby Ranch guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and execute daily operations for the Ticket Scanning, including ensuring that all lifts are staffed appropriately for business volume needed with functioning scanning equipment.
- This may include lining up administrative team members on high volume days.
- Greet guests with friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Scan each ticket/pass media to verify valid chairlift access, signed waiver, and confirm identity matches person with media being used.
- Detain guests whose ticket/pass media does not match identity or is not valid and follow protocol for the situation.
- Support Commercial Ops Manager lead 4-6 ticket scanning staff including posting weekly work schedules, approving timecards and processing fraud incentives for payroll, and documenting performance issues.
- Establish positive, productive working relationships with Operations Management and teams.
- Collaborate and work effectively with IT Administrator, Ticket Office and Lift Operations teams.
- Manage scanning equipment ensuring charged batteries and backups are ready daily.
- Manage fraudulent use of passes and ticket situations in accordance with company policy and through to completion with the guest.
- Maintain working knowledge of ticket and pass products.
- Assist Lift Operations with lift maze/corral set up.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of Scanning equipment, POS software and troubleshoot IT issues.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other individuals to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Talking to others to convey information effectively including speaking to and giving directions to large crowds.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

- Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Strong computer skills required including a working knowledge of MS Office programs especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and ability to learn new software programs.
- Databases - Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.
- Internet - Using a computer application to create, manipulate, edit, and show virtual slide presentations.
- Navigation - Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files.
- Word Processing - Using a computer application to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.
- 2 years customer service experience.
- 2 years supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work outdoors at 8000+ feet in all weather conditions.
- Stand, walk, for duration of 8+ hour shift.
- Reaching, Bending, Sitting, Standing, Carrying, Lifting, Kneeling, Squatting.
- Dexterity to operate hand held scanner and computer keyboard.
- Verbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with others.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability on weekends, holidays, and some evenings until 7:30pm.
