JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Quality Engineer will provide support by following the Core Values:

You will be responsible for assuring the goals and objectives are met via leading and or participation in process improvement activities, problem solving both Safety and Quality related opportunities), identifying cost-saving opportunities. 

Be a safety ambassador each day; lead by example by following the safety rules.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, qualify, and approve suppliers
  • Conduct supplier audits and assess quality system effectiveness and compliance
  • Monitor supplier performance using PPM, OTD, and corrective action responsiveness 
  • Maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics
  • Lead supplier development activities to improve quality and process capability
  • Problem investigation; root cause and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, A3)
  • Statistical analysis: Capability studies, review data for trends and provide constructive feedback
  • Build inspection plans for incoming parts
  • Participation in waiver, MRB, and PPAP meetings
  • Work with QE on supplier related issues
  • Create ISIRs


Requirements

 Required Skill Sets: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill set
  • Proficiency in Quality Core Tools: PFMEA, Contral Plans, Process Maps, Work Instructions
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 QMS standards
  • Lead auditor certification 
  • Risk management 
  • APQP
  • Six Sigma methodologies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Reading technical drawings and technical documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Salary Description
$75,000/yr - $80,000/yr
