The Drill Press/Brake Operator is responsible for independently operating and maintaining plate processing equipment within the Plate Shop. This role supports production by cutting, forming, drilling, and preparing metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates CNC controlled Brake Presses.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Selects proper punch and die tooling.
- Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Brake Press to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work.
- Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Brake Press to run prototype jobs and new parts orders.
- Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data
- Able to read Drawings and produce parts based on drawing.
- Operate Press as necessary to produce parts.
- Produce items daily in support of production.
- Inform leadsmen and or Foreman of shortages with material.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
2 years of experience preferred

Education and/or Equivalent Experience
High School Diploma preferred, 2 years of experience in shop environment preferred.
