Summary
We are looking for an Event Marketing & Trade Show Manager. The ideal candidate is outgoing, thoughtful, strategic, and a natural leader. This role is responsible for planning and managing trade shows, conferences, sponsorship activations, and experiential marketing programs from initial strategy through onsite execution and post-event reporting. The Event Marketing & Trade Show Manager serves as the day-to-day lead for clients, ensuring programs are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives.
The Event Marketing & Trade Show Manager will work directly with client stakeholders, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, venue partners, and internal teams to plan and execute successful event programs, necessitating polished communication and executive presence. Relationship building is an important requirement for success in this position.
This individual will manage project timelines, event budgets, exhibitor and sponsorship programs, venue sourcing, vendor relationships, attendee engagement initiatives, event reporting, and onsite execution.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and strong execution, using event data and insights to continuously improve attendee experiences and business outcomes.
You'll spend your days on the following:
- Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, sponsorship activations, and experiential marketing programs, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and event goals.
- Manage all phases of event planning and execution, including project timelines, budgets, stakeholder communication, logistics, attendee engagement, and onsite operations.
- Manage sponsorship fulfillment, exhibitor coordination, booth experiences, hosted meetings, attendee engagement programs, and brand activations.
- Track and report event performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, lead generation, sponsorship results, attendee satisfaction, and return on investment.
- Analyze program performance and deliver post-event insights and recommendations to improve future event outcomes.
- Partner with creative, content, production, field marketing, and cross-functional teams to develop event messaging, presentations, attendee communications, collateral, promotional campaigns, and experiential activations.
- Act as team lead and project manager, ensuring all communication, timelines, financials, deliverables, and action items are successfully managed. Build and own comprehensive project plans.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, providing guidance, updates, recommendations, and program oversight.
- Deliver strategic and creative recommendations that help clients maximize event impact and achieve business objectives.
- Schedule, lead, and oversee follow-up from recurring client meetings and program reviews.
- Manage program budgets, including forecasting, change management, financial communication, reconciliations, and post-program closeouts.
- Manage client, vendor, sponsorship, and partner agreements, ensuring scope, deliverables, budgets, and timelines are clearly defined and executed.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendors, venues, suppliers, exhibitors, and partners.
- Travel approximately 30% of the year. This may include onsite event execution, extended workdays, physical setup oversight, and managing multiple moving parts in fast-paced environments.
- Optimistically and effectively lead onsite teams of staff, subcontractors, exhibitors, vendors, and agency partners during both in-person and virtual events.
- Attend and actively contribute to team meetings, training, and company initiatives.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- 4+ years of experience in corporate event planning, trade show management, conference marketing, experiential marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working with exhibitors, sponsors, convention centers, trade show organizers, or conference management teams.
- Experience managing multiple events and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced client service environment.
- Strong understanding of event success metrics, reporting, and data-driven program optimization.

Location
Candidates must be based in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin. Candidates local to an Augeo office are expected to work a hybrid schedule. Candidates outside commuting distance of an Augeo office may work remotely.
