WyoTech is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Student Accounts/Collections Coordinator to join our team at our Laramie, WY campus. This position plays an important role in supporting our students by helping them understand and manage their student accounts throughout their time at WyoTech. The Student Accounts/Collections Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for student account questions, assists students with payments and account balances, processes payments and adjustments, coordinates student stipends and refunds, and works closely with departments across campus to provide a positive student experience. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for student account inquiries and provide students with timely and accurate information
  • Advise students regarding payments, account balances, and other student account matters
  • Monitor Title IV default accounts
  • Monitor and collect past-due accounts through phone calls, emails, text messages, and letters
  • Schedule and distribute student stipends and refunds
  • Post payments, charges, and adjustments to student ledgers accurately and timely
  • Work closely with the Student Finance team, Department Coordinators, instructors, and other campus departments to serve students
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing and data entry
  • Assist with answering incoming phone calls and directing inquiries appropriately
  • Assist the Student Accounts Manager with day-to-day responsibilities and special projects
  • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service when working with students, staff, and faculty
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling student financial information
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in education administration, accounting, collections, or another related field
