Fervo Energy is applying first-principles engineering and a manufacturing mindset to geothermal power — an industry that has operated the same way for decades. We are not building one-off power plants. We are building a product: GeoBlock, a standardized, repeatable geothermal generation unit designed to get cheaper, faster, and more reliable with every iteration.
Supply Chain is not a support function here. Our job is to be embedded with Operations early — shaping completions service strategy and supplier relationships before a rig moves in, not scrambling for backup once it's already there.
The Sr. Supply Chain Specialist, Completions leads strategy and execution for Fervo's completions services - frac/stimulation, wireline, snubbing, workover, flowback, water services, and sand/proppant. This role partners directly with Category Management and Operations to build a competitive, pre-qualified supplier bench across the category, and negotiate the contracts and call-off agreements that keep completions crews and equipment available when field requirements shift. A key focus of the role is service planning and building operational resiliency by ensuring qualified options are commercially established and ready to mobilize when needed.
Responsibilities
- Build and own a documented sourcing strategy for completions service categories, including frac/stimulation, wireline, snubbing, workover, flowback, water services, and sand/proppant
- Establish and manage call-off pricing agreements and backup supplier coverage so field teams have fast, reliable alternatives when a primary vendor is unavailable.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard secondary and tertiary suppliers to reduce single-source and availability risk across the category
- Maintain visibility into upcoming field requirements and proactively confirm supplier capacity, equipment availability, crew readiness, and mobilization capability
- Partner with Operations early on completions planning and mobilization schedules to keep sourcing ahead of field needs
- Own and execute competitive sourcing events across the completions category, including development of scopes, bid packages, commercial templates, pricing sheets, evaluation criteria, supplier clarifications, bid analysis, and award recommendations in coordination with Operations and Engineering.
- Lead commercial negotiations for completions services, from RFQ through contract execution
- Structure contracts and call-off agreements that protect schedule and give Fervo visibility into supplier performance
- Manage supplier relationships and performance across the category, including safety performance, responsiveness, availability, field readiness, service quality, and commercial compliance
- Partner with Completions Engineers, field operations, and Supply Chain to resolve short-notice supplier, equipment, crew, or logistics availability issues and rapidly develop alternate execution paths
- Partner with Strategy and Compliance for vendor onboarding for tax credit compliance
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, ideally in completions services or oilfield services
- Experience negotiating service contracts and call-off/standby pricing agreements with meaningful commercial value
- Strong understanding of how completion services (frac/stimulation, wireline, snubbing, workover, flowback, water services, sand/proppant) are planned and executed in the field
- Track record of building supplier options where a category has relied on a single vendor
Preferred
- Field operations experience, preferably within completions or oilfield services
- Experience partnering directly with Operations, Engineering, or field teams to define requirements, identify risks, and align sourcing timelines with execution needs.
- Strong existing relationships across the completions service market
- Comfortable operating with urgency to develop alternatives when crews or equipment become unavailable
- Background in energy infrastructure, oilfield services, or capital-intensive field operations
