Job Title: Pre-Admission Testing Nurse/LPN/RN (Temporary)

Hours: Regular Part-time (30-35.5hrs/week) or Part-time (20-29.5hrs/week)
Shift: Days, some evenings, weekends & rotating calls

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC:
This position is deemed safety-sensitive and will adhere to all policies associated with this designation. The duties listed below are intended only to illustrate the various types of work performed. - Prepare patients for surgery by going over the required paperwork, including proper consent and forms
- Input physician orders for labs, imaging, and any other preparations for the patient to be ready for surgery
- Educate the patients about procedures and answer any questions
- Coordinate with physician offices and Surgery staff to schedule surgeries/procedures
- Review boarding slips and coordinate with preauthorization staff
- Create and organize charts for surgery patients
- Call patients about surgery times
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Current License as a Registered Nurse or an LPN in the State of Idaho is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
- Frequently required to perform moderate to complex manipulative tasks
- Frequently able to move, push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy
- Must wear PPE when situations require
- Must submit to COVID-19 testing as required by CMS and other regulatory agencies according to FCMC policy
Work Environment:
- FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year: operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
- Potential exposure to blood, body tissue and fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
- Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud or unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, and emotional or physical stress
- May be required to work day or night in a confined environment or variation of different temperatures
