General Summary of Duties:
The Electrician Technician will maintain, diagnose, and repair the electrical systems of car wash equipment in an assigned region, including 480V three-phase power, motor control centers (MCC), and controllers. Our Electrician Technician will perform general preventive maintenance on electrical components, troubleshoot faulty systems, coordinate with outside electrical vendors and contractors as needed, and document site visits per LUV Car Wash policy.
Physical Demands:
- Lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- See clearly and respond to dangerous situations.
- Safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds or more
- Work in extreme weather.
- Work in a wet environment and wear PPE correctly throughout the day.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain the electrical systems at approximately 5-6 car washes in an assigned region, including 480V three-phase power, MCC panels, controllers, VFDs, and related electrical components.
- Perform occasional weekly, monthly, and annual scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components in car wash operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty electrical equipment and make necessary repairs to restore normal operation, including but not limited to motors, MCC panels, controllers, VFDs, wiring, breakers, disconnects, and low-voltage control circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to identify root causes of failures.
- Coordinate and work directly with third-party electrical vendors, contractors, and utility providers on projects, inspections, and repairs beyond in-house scope.
- Help Operations team with select facility work such as electrical, framing, appliance, or ground repair related to power distribution (e.g., install poly lines underground, fix signage, install canopies, run conduit).
- Occasionally order necessary replacement electrical parts and keep stock of necessary spare parts on hand to reduce Carwash downtime. Conduct inventory of parts on truck and submit truck inspection report.
- Work with Regional Service Manager, Dispatch, and Operations team to ensure proper scheduling of electrical projects/repairs.
- Conduct site inspections to find or complete preventative maintenance/repairs on electrical equipment such as panels, breakers, wiring, and controllers.
- Install and/or assist with installation of new electrical components and carwash systems as needed.
- Perform electrical load testing, voltage checks, and continuity testing to ensure equipment safety and performance.
- Address and repair emergency electrical breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Adhere to NEC, OSHA guidance, and electrical safety protocols.
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) compliance procedures.

Requirements
- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience working with 480V three-phase industrial electrical systems.
- Flexible work hours in case of emergency repairs.
- Opportunity to work overtime for on-call responses to emergency repair.
- If Twilight, the ability to consistently work 4pm to 1am.
- If Sunrise, the ability to consistently work 4am to 1pm.
