JOB TITLE: National Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Project Management 

REPORTS TO: Director of Project Management 

FLSA STATUS: Exempt


JOB SUMMARY:

The National Project Manager oversees multiple projects simultaneously through each phase of the process, from award through installation, for a variety of clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinates with various functional areas, including surveying, estimating, art, manufacturing, and installation to meet project goals and milestones.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules and provides regular status updates to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of risks and issues that may impact projects.
  • Resolves issues and problems that arise throughout the duration of the project in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Escalates issues when project milestones are in jeopardy.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Selects, negotiates, and procures vendors for projects.
  • Assists with estimates and quotations as needed.
  • Creates and manages change order requests and change orders.
  • Creates and processes project-specific purchase orders.
  • Maintains accessible and accurate job files for all projects.
  • Performs formal project closeouts in a timely manner.
  • Handles other tasks as needed to support project management or the Company.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience effectively coordinating or managing fast-paced projects in the sign or commercial construction industry.
  • Experience with sourcing, selecting, and managing subcontractors, as well as working with budget parameters, purchase orders, and project billing. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and function well under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage realistic expectations with clients and other stakeholders. 
  • Strong Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and multitask efficiently.
  • Proven leadership ability with solid decision-making skills.
