Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Head Start curriculum standards

- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development

- Observe, assess, and document children's progress and communicate findings with families and team members

- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and community partners

- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate classroom activities and school events

- Ensure compliance with Head Start program policies, state regulations, and licensing requirements

- Support the social-emotional development of children and address individual needs

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other required documentation

Requirements

 

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field

- Valid teaching certification or licensure for early childhood education

- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a Head Start or similar program

- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and curriculum standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to early childhood education

- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children

Salary Description
$27.00 per hour
