At Specialty Dental Brands, we bring together a supportive community of leading pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, and oral surgery practices. Our team provides the behind-the-scenes support and business insights that help our partner practices grow while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care.
We are looking for a curious, collaborative, and solutions-focused Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role will play a critical part in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide performance and strategic decision-making across our growing, multi-site organization.
The Senior Data Analyst will partner closely with operational, clinical, accounting, and financial leaders to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and develop data-driven solutions that improve patient care, practice performance, and overall business efficiency.
This is a hybrid position based at our Nashville Home Office, offering three days of in-office collaboration and two days remote each week.
What You'll do
- Pull and analyze data primarily from the enterprise data warehouse, using source systems—including EHR, practice management, finance, and HRIS platforms—as the underlying systems of record.
- Clean, validate, and interpret complex datasets to generate meaningful and reliable business insights.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced data models that support enterprise initiatives such as patient retention, provider productivity, operational efficiency, and accounting and finance functions.
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical and business leaders.
- Partner with IT and Business Intelligence teams to strengthen data infrastructure, improve reporting processes, and expand access to reliable information.
- Use statistical and predictive modeling techniques to forecast trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate across departments to define key performance indicators, reporting standards, and measurement frameworks.
- Present analyses and insights through reports, presentations, and interactive dashboards, primarily using Power BI.
- Support data integrity, governance, and compliance with healthcare privacy requirements, including HIPAA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Candidates with an Accounting or Finance background and strong technical, analytical, and data-reporting capabilities are encouraged to apply. A traditional computer science or highly technical degree is not required.
- Five or more years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a multi-site healthcare, dental, medical, or similarly complex business environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and data modeling.
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and interpreting data from multiple underlying business systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex findings into practical business recommendations.
- Experience working with EHR, dental practice management, financial, accounting, or HRIS data is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, trustworthy data.
- The ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with technical and nontechnical partners across the organization.
What We Offer
- A hybrid work environment that balances in-person collaboration with remote flexibility.
- Generous paid time off.
- Comprehensive insurance benefits.
- A 401(k) retirement plan.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative and growing organization.
