Job Summary:

Salaried professional responsible for customer service, quoting and cost estimating, contract review, and customer order management. Serves as a key interface between customers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately reviewed, quoted, entered, communicated, and supported. Works cross-functionally with Customers, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding new orders, RFQs, and related inquiries.
  • Review customer purchase orders, amendments, and changes against quotations and established requirements.
  • Conduct and document internal contract reviews, escalating discrepancies or risks as needed.
  • Manage customer order entry and maintain accurate information within the ERP system.
  • Assess customer RFQs and prepare quotations and cost estimates for new and existing products.
  • Develop estimates for labor, material, tooling, outside processing, NRE, lead time, and other applicable costs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input from Customers, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to support accurate quotations and customer commitments.
  • Organize quote reviews and maintain appropriate quotation assumptions, approvals, and revisions.
  • Identify pricing, capacity, technical, contractual, or delivery risks and escalate as appropriate.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from a quoting, commercial, and customer communication perspective.
  • Support customer meetings, business reviews, reports, and presentations.
  • Identify and support improvements to customer service, quoting, contract review, and order management processes.
  • Perform other related customer service and commercial responsibilities as assigned.
  • Coordinate and issue supplier RFQs for components and materials required to support customer RFQ inquiries and cost estimates.

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of relevant customer service, estimating, manufacturing, contracts, or sales support experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with RFQs, cost estimating, quoting, and contract review.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, routings, bills of material, labor, material costs, and lead times.
  • Strong customer focus, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and follow-through.
