Payment Systems Support Specialist
Description

The Payment Systems Support Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely processing of Kalsee Credit Union's day-to-day payment operations in support of members' financial transactions. This role administers the credit union's debit card, ATM card, and VISA credit card programs; processes share draft and ACH transactions; resolves disputes; and provides payment-related support to members, branch staff, and the Contact Center.


Card Services (Debit, ATM & VISA)

  • Processes debit card, ATM card, and VISA credit card applications, renewals, and reissues
  • Maintains card accounts on the core system, including address/contact updates, lost/stolen blocks, PIN resets, travel notifications, and CAM/CAN alerts for compromised cards
  • Processes daily debit, ATM, and VISA chargebacks/adjustments to ensure same-day tentative credit to members
  • Manages VISA balance transfers, monetary adjustments, and the ScoreCard Rewards program
  • Completes Instant Issue processing and downloads daily card reports from processors

Share Draft & ACH Processing

  • Posts and processes share draft returns and clearings daily by 9:00 a.m.
  • Posts and processes ACH returns, clearings, and Affidavit/WSUP daily to ensure same-day credit to members
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of the ACH payment system

Member & Branch Support

  • Provides phone support to members and branch staff; returns Contact Center voicemails within 30 minutes
  • Provides Paymentus & Home Banking support, including resetting security codes and login IDs
  • Processes employee check orders

Other

  • Balances daily work, monitors reports, and processes payroll
  • Downloads and settles daily OTB reporting; posts insurance
  • Maintains filing/records across all areas and communicates deficiencies in daily assignments
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years banking experience preferred 
  • General knowledge of share draft, debit card, ATM, ACH, and VISA systems and processes preferred
  • Aptitude for handling member and co-worker issues effectively and professionally
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work in a detail-intensive, multi-task environment
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
