Role Overview

Bolder Industries is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and business analytics across the organization. This role will partner closely with the CFO and Controller to enhance management reporting, improve forecasting processes, automate financial analysis, and elevate board reporting.

The ideal candidate possesses strong financial modeling capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable business insights. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and elevating the quality of financial reporting. The successful candidate will have the curiosity to understand business operations, the technical skills to automate and improve reporting tools, and the analytical mindset to identify trends, explain performance drivers, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

· Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting packages and KPI dashboards.; Including analysis of results with variance explanations versus budget, forecast, and prior year.

· Assist in the annual budgeting process, including maintaining financial planning models, coordinating budget submissions from functional leaders, consolidating assumptions, and preparing analyses to support executive review and approval.

· Perform plant P&L performance analysis by connecting operational KPIs to financial results, identifying key drivers of performance, and providing variance analysis to support operational decision-making.

· Assist in developing standardized reporting packages and dashboards that improve visibility into plant, operational, and company-wide performance.


Reporting Automation & Process Improvement

· Identify opportunities to automate recurring financial reporting processes using Excel-based models or other appropriate tools (i.e. Power BI)

· Develop dashboards and data visualizations to improve visibility across the business.

· Collaborate with accounting to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of the monthly close process.

· Design, maintain, and continuously improve financial models, reporting tools, and data structures

· Partner with finance and operational leaders to improve financial data quality.


Board Reporting

· Prepare quarterly Board of Directors and investor reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear communication of business performance and key initiatives. 

· Coordinate the development of board materials by gathering inputs from functional leaders, consolidating information, and managing reporting timelines

· Continuously enhance the content, format, and visual presentation of board materials to improve clarity, efficiency, and decision-making effectiveness.

· Maintain reporting schedules and ensure consistency across reporting packages.


Business Support

· Assist with capital expenditure analysis and investment tracking.

· Support special projects related to operational improvement and strategic initiatives.

· Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization.

· Coordinate with business leaders to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and alignment between financial and operational metrics.


Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.

· 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related finance roles.

· Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to distill complex conversations and topics into clear, actionable insights.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.

· Experience building financial models and reporting tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Manufacturing, industrial, recycling, or chemical industry experience preferred.

· Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools preferred.

· Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.

· Flexible and highly adaptable – ability to pivot quickly.
