Purpose
Create a shared Workforce Development Coordinator position jointly funded by the Truckee Chamber and North Tahoe Chamber to coordinate established workforce initiatives serving students, job seekers, employers, and emerging leaders throughout the Truckee-North Tahoe region.
Goals
- Coordinate implementation of the annual regional workforce work plan approved by Chamber leadership.
- Increase participation in existing workforce programs.
- Expand employer engagement.
- Connect local residents and employers with existing workforce resources and pathways.
- Support the strategic workforce priorities of both the Truckee Chamber and North Tahoe Chamber.
- Improve efficiency by centralizing program administration.
Shared Workforce Development Coordinator
Core Responsibilities
Youth Workforce Development
- Continue TNT Tech Teens in Truckee and expand the program into North Lake Tahoe.
- Continue the Futurepreneurs Program, with an emphasis on expanding participation among North Lake Tahoe youth.
- Serve as the primary contact for school and educator partnerships.
- Lead employer recruitment and coordination for youth workforce programs.
- Lead student outreach and communications.
- Manage program logistics, evaluation, and reporting.
Leadership & Community Engagement
- Serve as the program manager for the North Lake Tahoe Truckee Leadership Program, including:
- Program coordination, including scheduling, curriculum administration, and speaker engagement.
- Participant recruitment
- Program evaluation and improvements
- Coordinate alumni engagement activities for the Truckee North Tahoe Leadership Program.
- Coordinate sponsorship outreach, recognition, and fulfillment for the North Tahoe Lake Truckee Leadership Program.
- Manage the Next Level Leadership Program partnership.
Workforce Development Initiatives
- Manage the Destination Champion Program for Truckee and North Tahoe
- Manage the Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective.
- Coordinate two regional job fairs annually.
- Support employer outreach for regional workforce initiatives.
- Maintain and share regional workforce resources and referral information.
- Collect program data and support grant, partner, and impact reporting.

Proposed Position Structure
Title
Truckee North Tahoe Regional Workforce Development Coordinator
Compensation & Schedule
$30-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Part-time, non-exempt position averaging 20-25 hours per week.

- Help produce an annual regional workforce impact report.
