As the Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management, you'll play a critical leadership role in overseeing and enhancing our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This position is responsible for driving risk governance, regulatory oversight, vendor management, and enterprise-wide risk assessment activities while partnering with leaders across the organization to strengthen our risk culture.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Risk Leadership

  • Lead and maintain OceanAir's Enterprise Risk Management program.
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments and risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs).
  • Maintain the enterprise risk register, risk taxonomy, and risk appetite framework.
  • Identify, monitor, and report on operational, strategic, regulatory, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Develop and present risk reporting and dashboards for Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate risks associated with new products, services, technologies, and strategic initiatives.

Regulatory & Financial Risk Oversight

  • Provide independent oversight of the Credit Union's risk management framework.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends.
  • Oversee enterprise risk assessment programs covering compliance, operational, fraud, vendor, business continuity, information security, and strategic risks.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), emerging risks, and material trends.
  • Support sound risk governance through risk measurement methodologies, stress testing, scenario analysis, and internal controls.

Vendor Risk Management

  • Own and oversee the Vendor Management Program.
  • Conduct third-party risk assessments and due diligence reviews.
  • Review contracts, SOC reports, insurance documentation, financial statements, and business continuity information.
  • Monitor vendor performance and risk exposure.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing risk management team.
  • Establish department goals, metrics, and development plans.
  • Manage department resources and budget.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirements

 

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or financial services leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience presenting risk-related information to senior leadership and governing bodies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred

  • NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer designation or similar risk/compliance certification.
  • Credit union or financial institution experience.
  • Knowledge of vendor risk management, BSA/AML governance, and enterprise risk frameworks.
