Summary/Objective: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our team as an HR GENERALIST.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in human resources management, with an emphasis on payroll, recruiting and hiring, training, compliance, and workplace well-being.  Accredited HR certification would be a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors in a manufacturing environment and office setting.
  • May sit/stand for 8 or more hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to noise, machinery, forklifts, metal shavings, and slick floors.

Essential Functions:

  1. Human Resources Management:
    • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Accurate payment to employees using Paylocity HRIS
    • Maintain records/ enroll employees in various systems: 401(k), AMPER, EASE, JobBoss, Group Benefits
    • Training coordinator
    • Reporting and tracking labor and turnover 
    • Worker’s Compensation administration
    • Support safety protocols and PPE
    • Assist with employee engagement and events coordinator
    • Year-end compliance projects for 401k and EDGE credit application
    • Leads the Performance Review and Compensation adjustment process
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Expertise:
    • Staying abreast of industry trends, and implementing best practices.
    • Provide guidance on HR strategy, employee development, and workforce planning.
  3. Employee Engagement:
    • Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
    • Conduct regular surveys and assessments to measure and improve the employee experience.
  4. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and collaborate with managers to develop and implement training programs.
    • Ensure compliance training is conducted regularly and records are maintained.
  5. Conflict Resolution:
    • Act as a mediator in employee disputes, working towards equitable and fair resolutions.
    • Provide coaching to managers on effective conflict resolution techniques.
  6. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
    • Lead open enrollment process and support benefit plan renewals
    • Stay informed about market trends to ensure competitive and attractive benefit offerings.
  7. Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
    • Generate reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. The team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are 25 pounds. The team member may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and typical working hours are 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. This is subject to change due production schedules and demands of the position. 

Travel:

Occasional local and domestic travel is required for this position.


Qualifications:

  • Five years of progressive HR experience. A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of industrial safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRI systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be able to pass E-Verify and have security clearance for unclassified sensitive information.
