In this role as Sector Analyst for Commercial, you will assist in shaping and driving our business strategies to address the needs of our industrial manufacturing and architecture, engineering and construction customers. You will lead cross-department initiatives and collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing to deliver our safety, compliance and workforce platform. You will own complex projects and apply diverse skillsets—from strategy and execution to growth, retention, and operations—to deliver outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leadership & Market Insight:
- Assist with the development and execution of a forward-looking product strategy tailored to commercials customer base, using multiple data sources.
- Build comprehensive business cases for new market opportunities and emerging trends in our sub-sectors.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Ownership:
- Forge strong relationships with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing, to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Take full ownership of cross-department projects from conception through implementation, driving initiatives that span strategic planning, operational execution, growth initiatives, and customer retention.
Product & Performance Management:
- Analyze the effectiveness of our software solutions and training programs with a focus on profitability and key performance metrics.
- Manage pricing strategies and product catalogs to drive efficiency and sustainable growth.
- Identify business opportunities that will drive greater competitive differentiation, develop business cases, and prioritize with stakeholders across the organizations, accounting for tradeoffs.
Data Insights:
- Conduct data analysis across multiple data sets using Claude to develop actionable insights that drive improved bookings and retention.
- Manage our Workplace Safety Seal program including data analytics and rubrics for recipients.
Skill Set:
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to deconstruct complex challenges and convert high-level requirements into detailed, actionable projects.
- Effective Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a talent for conveying technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a dynamic environment while influencing outcomes across multiple teams.
- Analytics and Storytelling: Strong data analysis skills, including advanced use of Claude and Excel. Ability to distill complex information into the “so what” and communicate information through executive-level documents (Word and PowerPoint).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in software product management, management consulting, corporate strategy, or operations leadership at a PE-owned SaaS.
- Ability to travel up to 15% at times.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing market is valued, but not required.
- This is a hybrid role that will require 1-2 days in office.
