Description

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our Endocrinology specialty team. The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our patients and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and professional patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy medical office environment. Previous experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting is preferred.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Check patients in and out for appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct calls to the appropriate department.
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient balances as required.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary patient forms, authorizations, and documentation.
  • Assist with referrals and ensure required documentation is available prior to appointments.
  • Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient needs and scheduling concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist with obtaining medical records and other documentation when necessary.
  • Provide patients with information regarding appointments, office procedures, and services.
  • Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and office leadership to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical front desk, receptionist, or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a physician practice is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
