Position Summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, leading a team, and delivering an outstanding experience for every guest. The Café Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of food service and hospitality, and supporting the growth and development of café staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the café, including opening and closing procedures, food and beverage service, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
- Be an active presence on the floor, supporting team members and ensuring excellent service during busy periods.
- Address guest questions, concerns, and feedback in a professional and positive manner.
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
- Train, coach, schedule, and develop café team members.
- Lead by example and jump in wherever needed to support café operations.
- Monitor sales, labor costs, food costs, inventory, and other operational performance measures.
- Manage product ordering and inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while reducing waste.
- Work closely with leadership to meet operational goals and support the café's financial success.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company policies and procedures.

Required Education & Experience
- Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in Hospitality, Foodservice Management, Business, or a related field.
- ServSafe Manager Certification required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in a café, coffeehouse, bakery-café, or retail foodservice environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary Arts degree.
- Four (4) or more years of management experience in a café or retail foodservice operation.
- Advanced POS and technology skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
