Description
The Senior Director of Sales is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving MMP’s growth across strategic senior living accounts. This role owns the full sales cycle — prospect through close.
- Build and expand relationships across strategic senior living operators Achieve annual bed growth targets
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from qualification through close, engaging ownership groups, C-suite executives, and regional operations and clinical leaders
- Discover and analyze operator needs and structure solutions and multi-community rollouts
- Present and articulate the MMP value proposition based on persona, operator, and need
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key decision makers and influencers
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales activities, opportunity stages, pipeline, and forecasts to provide executive leadership with clear visibility into sales performance, risks, and opportunities Leverage market data and competitive intelligence to prioritize targets; stay abreast of market trends and share insights
- Actively participate in pipeline reviews and discussions
- Represent MMP as an industry thought leader at professional events, meetings, conferences, and any other company-sponsored or supported event
- Build a qualified pipeline through attending industry conferences, networking, referrals, and targeted outreach, supported by disciplined pre-event planning and post-event follow-up
- Facilitate seamless transition of new business to Partner Success
- Manage expenses in accordance with company guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or similar
- 8+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, including 5+ years selling to senior living, long-term care pharmacy, or healthcare services organizations; success as an individual contributor owning a named-account book of business
- Proven track record of closing enterprise or multi-site agreements with regional and national operators; established network of senior living executive relationships is highly preferred
- Demonstrates executive presence and professionalism in all interactions with customers, prospects, industry partners, and internal stakeholders Ability to travel nationally, including industry conferences and overnight travel as needed
- Motivated, self-directed, and accountable with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated executive-level presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills
- Experience using CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence others
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex sales opportunities with competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and articulate financial value propositions to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain appropriate automobile insurance, and have access to a reliable personal vehicle that meets the travel requirements of the position.
