Customer Experience & Community Outreach Assistant, Part-Time
Position Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
Starting Rate: $21.00 per hour 

Introduction

This is a part-time position. The Customer Experience & Community Outreach Assistant supports airport-wide programs that strengthen passenger service, operational consistency, and LNK's connection to the community. The position provides administrative support across Customer Experience and Marketing, ensuring recurring programs are accurate, timely, well documented, and professionally represented.


Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative and program support for customer experience, marketing, community outreach, and passenger service initiatives.
  • Administer customer and membership programs, including maintaining accurate records within applicable systems and communication platforms.
  • Monitor customer feedback and service requests and assist with coordinating timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Assist with customer communications, surveys, promotions, and other engagement efforts using approved messaging and communication platforms.
  • Support airport guest access programs, including issuing passes, maintaining required documentation, and assisting with program compliance and audit readiness.
  • Safeguard confidential and security-sensitive information and follow all applicable airport policies, procedures, and security requirements.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of airport events, community outreach activities, educational programs, tours, presentations, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Represent the Lincoln Airport at community events, educational activities, partnerships, and other approved outreach opportunities in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Coordinate with airport departments, tenants, airlines, vendors, community organizations, and other partners to support assigned programs and initiatives.
  • Provide front-line customer assistance and operational support when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, materials, and other information related to assigned programs and activities.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
  • Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interacting with passengers, families, students, partners, and community members.
  • Ability to manage multiple recurring assignments, meet deadlines, and appropriately prioritize work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential or security-sensitive information with discretion.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; ability to learn Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), email, texting, registration, and airport-specific systems.
  • Customer-focused judgment, professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.
  • Comfort presenting information, leading small groups, and representing LNK in both airport and community settings.
  • Speak with clarity; read and write English fluently.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, administration, communications, hospitality, events, education, community outreach, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with CRM or email-marketing platforms, database maintenance, digital forms, or customer communications, aviation, airports, tourism, economic development, or community partnerships preferred.

Work Environment

This is an office environment having computers, printers, telecommunication tools, desks, file cabinets & storage areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.


Condition of Employment

The employee is required to meet the essential functions, skills, abilities, etc. listed in this document. The employee must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of pre-employment reference check, criminal history check, drug screening, and MVR (motor vehicle report), and other requirements as per Lincoln Airport Authority policy. Any associated costs for the screenings will be covered by the Lincoln Airport Authority. The employee must possess, when hired, and maintain while employed, a valid State of Nebraska driver’s license and be insurable under normal rates.
