Assistant General Manager
Description

Great hospitality starts with great people.

Alchemy is looking for an Assistant General Manager who loves the energy of restaurants, believes hospitality is about more than service, and knows how to bring out the best in a team.

We’re looking for a leader who is present, creative, organized, and genuinely people-driven. Someone who can lead a busy shift with confidence, connect with guests, develop employees, and help create the kind of restaurant people are excited to walk into—whether they’re working or dining with us.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage from the sidelines. We want someone who enjoys being on the floor, working alongside the team, solving problems in the moment, and helping make Alchemy better every day.

  • Lead by example and set the tone for genuine, memorable hospitality.
  • Support, coach, and develop a strong FOH team.
  • Run smooth, organized shifts while keeping the guest experience front and center.
  • Build relationships with guests and create reasons for them to come back.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Chef to create a positive, collaborative restaurant culture.
  • Help recruit, train, and retain great people.
  • Bring ideas to the table—we value leaders who think creatively and see opportunities to improve.
  • Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, organization, and execution.
  • Support the operational side of the business, including scheduling, labor management, inventory, and financial performance.

  • Stay composed and solutions-focused when things get busy.
  • Enjoy developing people rather than simply managing them.
  • Are creative, curious, and always looking for ways to make the restaurant better.
  • Understand that great leadership means being willing to jump in wherever you're needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive starting salary of $65,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience
