The Opportunity

The Professional Services Manager is a player-coach role responsible for leading the PS Payments delivery team while personally managing a portfolio of strategic government client implementations. This role bridges hands-on project delivery with team leadership — overseeing Project Managers and Business Analysts, driving operational excellence across delivery tracks, and serving as an escalation point for complex or high-risk accounts. The PS Manager partners closely with the VP of Professional Services to execute on team strategy, support PM development, and ensure consistent, high-quality client outcomes across the Payments vertical.

  • Manage a personal portfolio of strategic or complex client implementations, ensuring disciplined, on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, AppDev, QA, Customer Success, and Support teams to resolve delivery risks, align on roadmap dependencies, and ensure seamless client handoffs
  • Monitor and report on portfolio health, team utilization, and key delivery metrics; surface risks and forecasting concerns to VP leadership proactively
  • Support onboarding ramp and ongoing professional development for PS team members, including PM methodology coaching and tool adoption
  • Champion PS operational initiatives like playbook enhancement, knowledge base, and template standards
