Software Engineering Intern – AI                                                              Location: Malvern, PA. (On-Site)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Rajant Health is seeking a Software Engineering Intern - AI to support the development, testing, and improvement of software and AI-enabled applications. This is a hands-on opportunity for a student with software engineering experience and some exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or Large Language Models to work alongside software engineers, AI specialists, and technical teams.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with the development, testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications and backend services.

· Write clean, maintainable code under the guidance of experienced software engineers.

· Support development of AI-powered features, prototypes, and workflows.

· Assist with integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), AI APIs, or machine learning capabilities into applications.

· Help develop and evaluate prompts, AI outputs, and application behavior.

· Work with APIs, databases, and structured or unstructured data.

· Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, technical documentation, and research with software, AI, and product teams.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline; Master’s students are also welcome to apply.

· Programming experience with Python and/or another modern programming language.

· Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, debugging, data structures, and version control.

· Experience building software through coursework, personal projects, research, internships, or other practical development work.

· Some exposure to AI, machine learning, Large Language Models, or generative AI tools, with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience with Python-based AI or machine learning libraries, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI APIs.

· Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, Git, Linux, cloud technologies, web development, or backend services.

· Personal, academic, research, or internship projects involving AI or machine learning.
