POSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Loan Servicing Specialists complete mortgage and consumer loan maintenance to provide customers with a seamless loan experience.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
- Build awareness of new products and services and identify customer needs to capitalize on the business referral opportunities.
- Work as a team with other departments to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and supporting management with special request as needed.
- Process loan payments for Freddie Mac and Secondary Ag serviced loans, funding, reporting, remitting and reconciling activities.
- Serve customers by problem solving, identifying errors and discrepancies, in an organized, efficient, and secure manner. Understanding the intricacy of the consumer, mortgage, and participation loans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup participation loans and process funding.
- Receive and work daily loan maintenance requests changing sensitive information on the main frame system in a timely manner.
- Review daily new loan set-up.
- Balance various GLs and Deposit accounts that pertain to Loans and secondary market loans.
- Monitoring and addressing all non-post for loans.
- Prepare various reports as needed.
- Review various loan reports in director.
- Back up Escrow Dept. on Escrow processing and corrections.
- Responsible for special projects as assigned with acquisition/merger clean up and audit finding clean up.
- Review, approve, and process transactions in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reviewing current procedures and making suggestions for efficiencies.
- Focus on monitoring for participation loans, Freddie Mac and Secondary AG, processing payments and reporting for these types of loans.
- Work closely with the audit team to identify and eliminate possible audit issues. Stay in compliance with current requirements, regulations, and laws.
- Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulations that apply to position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma required.
- Up to two years of college/technical School in accounting/finance or banking program preferred.
- One to three years of banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Fiserv software experience and accounting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages and payments. Ability to balance /reconcile accounts. Understanding of basic accounting practices.
- Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
- Capable of handling customer and teammate contact situations tactfully and professionally.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Problem solving abilities. The ability to prioritize workflow.

- As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
- Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
