Salary: $27 - $30 per hour

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by inputting data into HR systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data, maintaining employee files, and assisting with administrative tasks for the HR department, including onboarding, tracking, and maintaining HR data. This position plays an important role in creating a positive employee experience through responsive service, timely communication, and strong accuracy and attention to detail. The HR Coordinator supports the HR and Compliance team to ensure HR processes run smoothly and align with organizational values.  


Essential Functions*: 

  • Serves as central point of contact for the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, security, and consistent use for the organization.
  • Maintains employee records and coordinates HR workflow processes, including but not limited to job and status changes, compensation updates, and HR form revisions.
  • Develops and runs scheduled and ad-hoc reports for analytics, compliance, and leadership needs.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements to optimize HRIS functionality and the employee experience.
  • Provides back-up support for the HR Generalist position.
  • Coordinates with payroll and benefits to ensure accurate pay, deductions, and reinstatement processes.
  • Administers background checks and agility tests for new hires.
  • Assists with onboarding, offboarding, auditing, open enrollment, and HR projects as needed.
  • Maintains accurate personnel files and documentation.
  • Supports HR initiatives focused on engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Participates in HR team meetings and contributes to building streamlined, employee-centered processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

 

Qualifications:  


Education/Experience:  

  • Preferred bachelor's degree or certification in human resources, a relevant field, or equivalent work experience. 

Other:   

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity. 
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and documentation requirements. 
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Preferred experience with HRIS platforms. 
  • Preferred experience in the nonprofit or human services sector. 

Certification/Licensing: 

  • Preferred HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or related coursework. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

  • None.

Work Environment:  

  • In-Office (Hybrid possible) Position: Work is primarily performed in our office at 3201 South Tamarac Dr., Denver 80231. Position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule with a combination of remote and in-office work. Work hours are generally during regular business hours, with occasional flexibility required to support agency needs. 
  • Essential physical requirements: Frequently sitting and typing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and use standard office equipment. 
  • Physical effort/lifting: The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds.
