The Margaret E. Moul Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. We specialize in caring for individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions and are committed to providing personalized, high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
  • Monitor residents’ health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
  • Provide and assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility, personal hygiene, and other resident needs.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, direct-care staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate residents and their families regarding health management, medications, treatments, and condition-specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Recognize changes in residents’ conditions and respond promptly to medical emergencies, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and independence at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Perform all nursing duties in accordance with Pennsylvania nursing regulations and facility policies.

Requirements

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience in long-term care, residential care, skilled nursing, or neuromuscular care is preferred
  • Knowledge of neuromuscular conditions and related care needs is preferred
  • Compassionate approach to resident care with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Dependable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality resident care

 

Work Environment

This is an  in-person, hands-on position  at the Margaret E. Moul Home. LPNs work directly with residents and the healthcare team in a residential care setting. This position requires regular on-site attendance and hands-on interaction with residents and staff.
