Summary/objective:
The Digital Media Team Lead is a senior organic marketing leader who guides a high-performing team in developing and executing strategies that drive real cultural conversation, not just content. This role brings deep expertise in organic marketing, influencer and creator ecosystems, and audience behavior, using that knowledge to raise the team's strategic capability, set a high bar, and ensure the team's efforts connect meaningfully to brand goals and business outcomes.
Expectations at Angel Studios:
- Amplify light in every action.
- As the owner of your outcomes, you are empowered to break down silos and coordinate with any and all people you need in order to reach your goals.
- You are ultimately responsible for achieving the outcomes while also using resources wisely - whether that be money, people, or time.
- Know your customer - it might be our viewers, investors, creators, or internal Angel Teams. Ensure you understand your customer and are providing what THEY need and not just what you want to build.
- You OWN the success of your team members, including hiring, onboarding, goals, performance management, raises, terminations, etc.
- Hold team members accountable to their goals - help them grow and make the most of the resources they bring. Document their performance for reviews.
- Create opportunities for team members to take initiative and ownership.
- Give consistent and timely candid feedback with compassion - your team members need to know where they stand at all times. If you find yourself doubting a team member, address it swiftly with actionable feedback.
- Contributes in a way that moves the Angel mission forward and exemplifies the team qualities required for working at Angel.
- When faced with roadblocks, mistakes or unforeseen circumstances, consistently and proactively find creative solutions and/or break down barriers to handle the challenge or complication. (Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).
Essential functions
- Lead, mentor, and develop Digital Media team members, fostering a high-performing team culture rooted in ownership, growth, and continuous improvement.

- Guide long-term organic marketing planning and strategic roadmaps, ensuring team efforts align with broader organizational objectives while empowering team members to own campaign strategy development and execution within their areas of responsibility.
- Equip the team with the frameworks, context, and strategic clarity they need to independently translate stakeholder goals, audience insights, and platform opportunities into effective campaign approaches.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to team members - offering perspective, raising the bar on thinking, and challenging approaches when needed.
- Guide the team's approach to influencer and creator strategy, helping them identify the right talent, evaluate fit, and build relationships that generate authentic audience reach and cultural credibility for Angel Studios projects.
- Equip the team to think beyond follower growth, coaching them to develop campaigns intentionally designed to generate cultural conversation, earned attention, and organic shareability across the internet.
- Serve as the team's horizon scanner, staying ahead of organic marketing trends, emerging platforms, and cultural shifts so the team is always operating with current, forward-thinking perspectives baked into their strategies.

- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, processes, and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency, scalability, and strategic effectiveness across the team.
