SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Department Leadership team, the Personal Lines Policy Processor 1 will
perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position below. The primary responsibility
of this role is to underwrite auto insurance policies within the non-standard market, ensuring
adherence to state regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Compares information between customer documents and policies to verify eligibility;
2. Composes business correspondence for supervisors, managers, and internal and external customers;
3. Corresponds with insureds or brokers to obtain information or inform them of recent policy
activity;
4. Examines documents from policyholders or brokers such as original insurance applications, Motor
Vehicle Reports (MVR) and other various underwriting documents and/or reports to determine if
changes are needed to ensure underwriting accuracy;
5. Modi?es, updates, and processes existing policies to re?ect any change amount of coverage or
type of
insurance;
6. Noti?es appropriate parties of policy cancellations, requested documents, and other
underwriting actions to maintain Aspire Underwriting and state insurance regulations and standards;
7. Processes policy cancellation requests within Aspire Underwriting and state insurance
regulations and standards;
8. Processes, prepare, and submit business and/or government forms;
9. Maintains effective communication with leadership on progress of ongoing tasks and/ or
projects;
10. Manages priorities and perform multiple tasks while maintaining productivity and quality goals;
11. Provides back up when requested to sign in to phone queues during escalated call volumes;
12. Complies with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier and
Aspire General Insurance Services policies, procedures, and work rules;
13. Prompt and regular attendance;
14. Other duties as assigned.
SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in insurance or related
?eld is a plus;
2. Previous experience in personal lines insurance, particularly in policy processing or
underwriting, is preferred;
3. Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, concepts and coverage and ability to read, analyze
and interpret industry periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations;
4. Strong understanding of insurance principles, regulations, and underwriting guidelines;
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and policy review;
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
7. Pro?ciency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and insurance software
preferred;
8. Ability to adapt to new software programs and changes in technology;
9. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and be able to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. This is a non-exempt position which complies with alternative work schedule when applicable;
2. This position may require mandatory overtime as deemed appropriate by management;
3. Travel may be required;
4. Must have a distraction-free home office or designated workspace conducive to remote work, ensuring optimal focus and productivity while working from home.
