We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Area Manager with daily program operations. This role is perfect for highly organized and detail-oriented individuals looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in the education space. This hybrid role will require approximately 10 hours/week working virtually from home with some on-site tasks at schools across the Richmond area. Exact hours may fluctuate from week to week.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Meet weekly with the Area Manager to check-in on projects
  • Help to support a team of 15 instructors with class schedules, curriculum, and equipment
  • Collect and upload student rosters
  • Track class enrollment numbers
  • Create class flyers and promotional materials
  • Send parent update emails and newsletters
  • Onboard and train new instructors 
  • Coordinate Parent Showcase Days and Open Houses
  • Support the Area Manager with timesheets, databases, and other administrative duties
  • Support monthly in-person team meetings 
  • Attend monthly calls with program leadership
  • Fill in for the Area Manager as needed
  • Other program support as assigned

Schedule & Commitment:

  • Approx. 10 hours/week (Mon-Fri between 9am-5pm) - design a consistent weekly schedule
  • Available throughout the week via phone/email to respond to team needs in a timely manner
  • We’re looking for team members interested in growing with us for multiple years 
  • Enjoy the flexibility to have other commitments outside of Starz (family, school, other part-time work commitments)

Requirements


  • 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a reliable car and be willing to drive weekly to schools across the Richmond area with a valid driver’s license
  • Experience working in the education space 
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • High level of professionalism and responsibility
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Able to pass background check and school screening requirements
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and actively lead movement-based classes without limitation

Position Details: 

  • Job Type: Part-time (W-2 employee)
  • Pay: $18/hour 
  • Hours: Approx. 10 hours/week, may fluctuate from week-to-week
  • Pay Schedule: Direct deposit every other Friday
  • Location: Hybrid - remote and on-site work
