We’re looking for an Accountant to join Klute and take ownership of our Accounts Payable processes while supporting our Controller and broader accounting operations. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for Accounts Payable, including the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, credit card transactions, and expense reports, while also providing administrative and accounting support to the Controller. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
· Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
· Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
· Route invoices through the approval workflow.
· Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (three-way match).
· Enter bills into the accounting system.
· Scan and electronically file invoices and supporting documentation.
· Maintain organized AP records and documentation.
Vendor Management
· Establish and maintain vendor records.
· Collect and maintain W-9 forms and other vendor documentation.
· Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
Payment Processing
· Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
· Ensure invoices are paid according to company payment terms.
· Assist in maintaining positive vendor relationships through timely payments.
Credit Card Administration
· Record company credit card transactions.
· Match receipts to credit card transactions.
· Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
· Investigate and resolve missing receipts or discrepancies.
Employee Expenses
· Review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
· Process employee reimbursements promptly.
· Maintain supporting documentation for expense reporting.
Accounting & Controller Support
· Assist the Controller with month-end accounting activities.
· Support annual LB312 reporting and year-end documentation.
· Assist with audit requests and financial record preparation.
· Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
· Manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and internal controls.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
· Ability to handle confidential financial information.
Technical Skills
Experience with the following software is preferred, but not required:
· QuickBooks
· Stampli
· Salesforce
· Microsoft Excel (intermediate proficiency, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables)
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with three-way purchase order matching.
· Knowledge of vendor onboarding procedures and W-9 compliance.
· Experience reconciling credit cards and vendor statements.
· Ability to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies independently.
