Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Driver/Gate Guard to monitor the plant entrance and property while safely transporting seasonal workers between housing and work.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entrance gate.
- Check employee and visitor credentials and control access.
- Direct visitors and truckers to appropriate areas.
- Record trucks and carriers entering and leaving the property.
- Inspect outgoing traffic and help prevent unauthorized removal of company property.
- Receive and deliver mail to the front office.
- Maintain the guard shack, restroom, and gate areas.
- Perform basic groundskeeping duties such as mowing and sweeping.
- Pick up and drop off seasonal workers between housing and work using the Company vehicle.
- Transport employees to the grocery store once per week using the Company vehicle.
- Conduct a weekly housing walkthrough and report maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or other issues to management.
- Report any issues, concerns, or incidents involving seasonal workers to management.
- Safely operate and maintain the company vehicle.
- Follow all safety rules, traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good driving record.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Safety-conscious and responsible.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally with employees, visitors, and truckers.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform basic physical duties.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred, but not required.
