What We Need

We are seeking an engaging, relationship-focused Admissions Coordinator who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with families. This role serves as a trusted guide for prospective families from initial inquiry through enrollment and supports enrollment growth across our school communities.


Family Engagement & Admissions Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families, providing timely, professional, and welcoming support via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Guide families through the admissions and enrollment process, clearly explaining programs, tuition, availability, and enrollment requirements.
  • Build meaningful relationships with prospective families through consistent follow-up and personalized communication.
  • Ensure a positive and seamless experience from inquiry through enrollment.

Enrollment Management

  • Manage inquiries, tours, applications, and enrollment activity within company systems and databases.
  • Maintain accurate records related to classroom availability, waitlists, and enrollment status.
  • Monitor admissions activity and provide regular updates on enrollment progress and trends.
  • Support efforts to achieve school and organizational enrollment goals.

School & Leadership Partnership

  • Coordinate school tours, open houses, and enrollment events in partnership with School Directors and regional leaders.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure prospective families receive an exceptional introduction to each school community.
  • Partner with operations, marketing, and school leaders to identify opportunities to increase enrollment and improve the family experience.
  • Participate in regular meetings to review admissions performance, market conditions, family feedback, and strategic initiatives.

Community Outreach & Events

  • Support community outreach efforts, local events, and marketing initiatives designed to increase brand awareness and connect with prospective families.
  • Represent Lantern Learning Group professionally at events and community engagements.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, customer service, sales, hospitality, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working directly with families, customers, or clients in a relationship-driven environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and enrollment management platforms.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education and the competitive school market is a plus.
  • Passion for helping families find the best educational experience for their child.

Physical & Working Requirements

  • Frequent speaking, listening, computer use, and extended screen time.
  • Occasional walking and standing during school tours, enrollment events, and community outreach activities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for event setup and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally outside the immediate area for training, meetings, and organizational events.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support school events and enrollment initiatives.
