Every great caregiver had a teacher who believed in them first. Could that be you?
We're looking for a Registered Nurse who's ready to trade the bedside for the front of the classroom — not because you're done caring for people, but because you want to multiply your impact by training the next generation of CNAs to do it too.
About the role
You'll be a part of our state-approved CNA Training Program, teaching in the classroom, the skills lab, and out in clinical settings. You'll show students not just how to do the work, but why it matters — building their technical skills and their confidence to walk into a healthcare career ready to provide compassionate, competent care.
What you'll do
• Teach classroom, lab, and clinical instruction using our state-approved curriculum
• Demonstrate hands-on nursing skills and healthcare best practices
• Coach and mentor adult learners as they build clinical and professional competence
• Evaluate performance and give feedback that actually helps students grow
• Supervise clinical rotations and ensure safe, quality patient care
• Manage grades, attendance, and required program documentation
• Keep the program in compliance with state and federal training standards
• Build a classroom culture of professionalism, accountability, and heart
What you'll bring
- Active Michigan RN license
- A genuine love of teaching, mentoring, or precepting — classroom experience is a plus, but not required if you've trained or oriented others before
- Strong clinical skills across long-term care, hospital, or rehab settings
- Patience, warmth, and the ability to meet adult learners where they are
- Comfort with documentation and holding students to a high standard
Why Goodwill
This is a Monday-Friday and no-weekends nursing role where your "patients" are the next generation of caregivers. You'll get to see your impact multiply — every student you train goes on to care for dozens, then hundreds, of people in our community. If you're an RN who lights up talking about mentoring, this is the role you've been looking for.
