Position Title: Senior Functional Consultant –   Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Sales

Location: Argentina ( Remote )

The Senior Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Sales will support the assessment, design, configuration, migration, testing, and deployment of enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and sales transformation solutions.

This is a senior, client-facing functional role requiring extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Dataverse, Power Platform, enterprise sales processes, requirements analysis, data migration, testing, and user adoption.

A major responsibility of this position is to support the Solution Architect in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and data migration requirements. The Senior Functional Consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, technical teams, and the Solution Architect to determine what information must be migrated, how it should be mapped and transformed, and how data quality and business continuity will be maintained.

The consultant will lead functional discovery sessions, document current-state processes, define future-state requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, configure Dynamics 365 Sales, support data validation, develop test scenarios, and help prepare business users for deployment.

This role requires someone who can bridge business and technology teams, challenge unclear requirements, identify process and data risks, and convert business needs into detailed, actionable functional specifications.

Business Process Discovery & Requirements

  • Lead discovery workshops with sales      leadership, sales operations, marketing, customer service, IT, data      owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Document current-state sales      processes, systems, roles, pain points, manual activities, and reporting      requirements.
  • Define future-state processes      aligned with Dynamics 365 Sales capabilities and Microsoft-recommended      practices.
  • Gather and document functional and      nonfunctional business requirements.
  • Develop:
    • Business requirement documents

  • Evaluate requirements against      standard Dynamics 365 functionality.
  • Recommend configuration-first      solutions and clearly document justified customization requirements.
  • Work with the Solution Architect      and development team to define functional expectations for extensions and      integrations.
  • Validate that configured      functionality meets documented business requirements and user      expectations.

Data Migration Requirements & Analysis

  • Support the Solution Architect in      defining the enterprise data migration strategy.
  • Lead business-facing migration      requirements workshops with data owners, subject-matter experts, and      application teams.
  • Identify legacy systems and data      sources containing sales and customer information.
  • Determine which data should be      migrated, transformed, archived, consolidated, or retired.

  • Define migration scope and      historical-data retention requirements based on business, reporting,      operational, and regulatory needs.
  • Identify duplicate, incomplete,      obsolete, and inconsistent data.
  • Develop data-cleansing,      deduplication, enrichment, and remediation requirements.
  • Work with business stakeholders to      establish master-data definitions and ownership.
  • Identify mandatory fields,      dependencies, lookup values, option sets, reference data, and sequencing      requirements.
  • Define data-reconciliation criteria      and migration acceptance thresholds.
  • Maintain the data migration      workbook, mapping documents, data dictionary, open-issue log, and business      validation plan.
  • Review migration extracts and      transformed data with technical and data teams.
  • Coordinate business validation      during trial migrations and mock conversions.
  • Support reconciliation between      source-system records and Dynamics 365.
  • Obtain business-owner validation      and sign-off for migrated data.
  • Identify migration risks and      escalate architectural or technical concerns to the Solution Architect.

Fit-Gap Analysis & Solution Recommendations

  • Evaluate business requirements      against native Dynamics 365 Sales and Power Platform capabilities.

Power Platform, Copilot & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve      sales processes using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot      Studio.
  • Define requirements for workflow      automation, approvals, notifications, assignments, escalations, and      follow-up activities.
  • Support the design of model-driven      applications and related user experiences.
  • Define business requirements for      Copilot and AI-enabled sales scenarios, including:
    • Lead and opportunity summaries
    • Email and meeting assistance
    • Suggested follow-up activities
    • Sales research and account       insights
    • Opportunity qualification

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and      maintain transparency regarding functional risks and dependencies.
  • Build agreement across business      units with different processes and priorities.
  • Escalate unresolved decisions and      scope concerns to the Project Manager and Solution Architect.
  • Maintain professional, accurate,      and complete project documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience delivering      CRM, sales automation, or enterprise business application solutions.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience      with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
  • Significant functional experience      with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales.
  • Proven experience serving as a      Senior Functional Consultant or Functional Lead on enterprise      implementations.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end      sales processes, including lead management, opportunity management,      pipeline management, forecasting, quoting, and order handoff.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering      and documenting complex business requirements.
  • Hands-on experience developing user      stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, fit-gap analyses, and      functional design documents.
  • Strong experience gathering data      migration requirements and producing source-to-target mapping      documentation.
  • Experience with data cleansing,      transformation, validation, reconciliation, and business sign-off.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft      Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft 365      integrations.
