Description

 The IoT Project Manager will own the relationship between Rently and our nationwide network of certified 3rd party installers (subcontractors) that will install hardware for our clients. The Project Manager must be able to work closely and collaboratively with our Client Success, Technical Support, Sales teams, and Rently Warehouse without direct line authority. This position will also be responsible for developing a QA process and benchmarks for installers to ensure a successful smart home deployment. We are looking for someone who understands technology and how to work effectively with 3rd party installers who is passionate about being a part of a growing company. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment, well organized, has effective communication skills and works well as part of a team. 

Requirements
  • Coordinate certified 3rd party installers to scope, schedule, and complete installation projects within the target window (typically within 90 days from contract signature)
    • This includes working with integrators to finalize estimates and SOW’s
  • Establish project schedules, timelines and milestones
  • Prepare and maintain status reports and issues tracking logs for budget, time, scope, and communication detail
  • Review Rently agreements with the Sales Executive and CSM to ensure the expectations of the client are met and invoices are accurately calculated
  • Coordinate with the Client Success Manager the client kick off meeting
  • Identify and escalate risks that may affect project completion and provide mitigation strategies
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Client Success, Technical Support, and 3rd party integration staff and teams to manage deployments
  • Own the data – Ensure that all projects are regularly updated by Sales, CS and/or Technical Support in SF, Project Management Software, Spreadsheets, etc
  • Work in tandem with the direct manager to cultivate relationships with additional 3rd party installers, negotiate MSAs and control costs
  • Establish process and tracking procedures to complete 95% of projects within target window and with a minimum 20% profit margin
  • Maintain SOP documents in compliance with ISO 27001
  • Maintain ISO training records
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of project management principles and/or methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Basecamp, Trello, Jira, or TeamGantt, etc)
  • Fundamental knowledge of Gantt Charts
  • Fundamental knowledge of Salesforce
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of project management experience 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • IoT & Smart Home technology experience or general knowledge
  • PMP Certification or PMP training - preferred
  • Six Sigma Certification or training - preferred


 

For applicants located in California, the salary range for this full-time role is expected to be $80,000-$85,000 per year. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Rently reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications, and that the expected salary range may be different for candidates located outside of California.
