Looking for a hands-on role where you can learn, grow, and build your maintenance skills? MMS is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to join our team in East Peoria. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys problem-solving and wants to develop a long-term career in industrial maintenance.
A Day in the Life
No two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced technicians while:
- Inspecting and maintaining equipment
- Troubleshooting basic mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing preventive maintenance to keep equipment running
- Replacing common wear parts like belts, filters, and fuses
- Responding to maintenance requests throughout the facility
- Using hand and power tools to complete repairs
- Documenting work orders in the maintenance system
- Helping maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- 0-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, or related experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training or certifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Ability to read basic schematics, manuals, or work orders
