Marketing Intern- The Fund at Hula

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Reports To: Junior Partner

Status: 15-20 hours weekly, on-site

Location: Hula, 50 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT

Role Overview: The Marketing Intern supports the execution of marketing initiatives that

promote The Fund, its portfolio, and Vermont’s innovation ecosystem. This role will collaboratively coordinate marketing efforts with Hula’s marketing team and is ideal for a student or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media, and brand storytelling in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. 

Core Responsibilities (Marketing):

  • Assist with creating and scheduling social media content (LinkedIn)
  • Support basic graphic design needs using tools like Canva
  • Monitor and repost relevant portfolio company news
  • Maintain and update The Fund at Hula’s website
  • Track and organize marketing assets and content calendars
  • Track basic engagement metrics and analytics
  • Help maintain brand voice and visual consistency

Other Responsibilities (Administrative):

  • General administrative tracking and data input
  • Maintain the team’s expense management system
  • Maintain and update the team’s shared important dates and events calendar
  • Track local ecosystem events and share with the team
  • Represent The Fund at Hula at events and in the community
Requirements

Qualifications:

Required

  • Experience with marketing concepts, communications, and social media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Calendar, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools
  • Experience with social media and website platforms (LinkedIn, Squarespace, etc.)
  • Interest in finance, entrepreneurship, or ecosystem development
