Summary


Responsible for originating and maintaining paperwork associated with each custom and product to include Certificates of Analysis, SDS’s and labels. In conjunction with other administrators and departments, establishes priority of paperwork 

to be originated each day to ensure the efficiency of filling customer orders.


Authority


Authority to stop work. This authority permits any employee at any level to halt a job or task when a hazardous situation appears imminent or they feel unsafe. The Custom Documentation Technician has the authority to perform all tasks and duties as 

assigned herein. Incumbent also has the authority to create, proof, maintain and disseminate documentation relevant to Inorganic Ventures products and is authorized to release products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Generate/Proof Read Certificates of Analysis, Product Information Sheets and/or Supplemental Sheets. To include customization of the documents based on business needs. Generate/Proof Read Safety Data Sheets.  
  •  Generate/Proof Read Safety Data Sheets. Communicate with Logistics (or other appropriate departments) to determine correct DOT classification to ensure proper compliance. Ensure appropriate starting materials and composition percentages are represented in section 2 (components section) of the SDS. To include generating estimated SDS based on customer requirements.
  • Generate/Proof Read Labels. Ensure adequate labels have been printed for customer bottles and TCT packaging. To include Customization as required by business needs. Ensure GHS classifications are in agreement with the SDS.
  •  Responsible for notification to Custom Production Assistants/Shipping Department of released product from Quality Control that is ready to be packaged or shipped.
  • Communicate Cross Departmentally on product status to ensure that products meet established deadlines.
  • Monitor and manage Documentation Request Emails. This includes gathering and providing all requested documentation directly to the customer and/or Account Manager as well as any additional communication required.
  • Provide IAD guidance on requirements for documentation on upcoming projects and future products.
  • Attend a regularly scheduled Value Stream wide cross responsibility collaborative meeting.
  • As required perform beta testing for LIMS and/or SDS software updates. Ensure software outputs are within expected guidelines. Ensure UI functions as expected.
  •  Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications

Required – 

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education and/or job-related experience to perform the essential functions of the position 

• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions

• Good interpersonal, communication and data entry skills

• Keen attention to detail

• PC proficiency

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimum supervision


Preferred – 

• Prior administrative work experience 

• Knowledge of the periodic table

• Prior experience using a LIMS database

• Previous working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)


Base salary: $20/hour - $22/hour. Total annual compensation will vary based on experience and performance.
