Responsibilities for Automotive Technician/Mechanic  

  • Performs mechanical inspections and maintenance on company vehicles and operational equipment.
  • Diagnoses mechanical issues and completes minor to moderate repairs in accordance with safety standards.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability.
  • Maintains service records, inspection documentation, and repair logs accurately.
  • Identifies safety concerns or mechanical risks and reports findings to management promptly.
  • Supports troubleshooting of mechanical systems related to facility or operational equipment as assigned.
  • Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
  • Follows established safety procedures when working with tools, vehicles, and mechanical components.
  • Coordinates with supervisors regarding repair priorities and parts or supply needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Hours for Automotive Technician/Mechanic

  • Full-time
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Wednesday auction sale day until 6pm sometimes
  • Occasional Saturday (not mandatory)
Requirements

 

Requirements for Automotive Technician/Mechanic

  • Entry level to some experience. (training provided)
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic hand tools needed. (specialty tools will be provided)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and handle urgent repairs.
  • Works independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, accountable, and professional.

Physical Requirements for Automotive Technician / Mechanic:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments.
  • Ability to use tools and mechanical equipment safely.
