We are seeking a detail-oriented and compliant individual to join our team as a Disputes Specialist! You will play a crucial role in observing resolution functions, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.  


In This Role, You Will: 

  • Investigate and resolve issues related to escrow, taxes, insurance, late charges, payments, credit disputes, fees, collection efforts, property preservation, loss mitigation, and account balances.
  • Draft professional response letters and ensure all complaints are handled within regulatory timelines, including updates to CFPB, BBB, and other complaint portals. 
  • Track and manage loan modification documents for bankruptcy borrowers and prepare Assignments of Mortgage.
  • Open, process, and close Chapter 7 bankruptcy files; send packets, coordinate referrals, and review motions.
  • Upload documents, maintain notes, communicate with counsel, track loan modifications, prepare assignments, manage MERS, and process mail.
  • Provide support to executives and internal departments on customer resolution matters and maintain accurate records of resolution efforts.
  • Assist with overflow collections and loss mitigation calls during critical periods, ensuring compliance with RESPA, FDCPA, CFPB, UDAAP, and FCRA. 
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in mortgage servicing, bankruptcy administration, or customer service within a regulated financial environment.  
  • Strong understanding of Chapter 7 bankruptcy procedures, legal documentation, and regulatory requirements including RESPA, FDCPA, CFPB, FCRA, and UDAAP.
  • Proficiency with systems such as OnBase, CTS, MERS, and complaint portals.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer issues professionally and discreetly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
